Koreeda's long shots not only provide an aesthetic answer to the film's philosophical premise but also establish a respectful distance from Esumi's protagonist: it's formalist cinema of a humble and deeply compassionate nature.

當(dāng)編劇想夸一個(gè)人的時(shí)候，他的精液也要是最頂級(jí)的。讓人抓狂。還是不敢置信這種癲狂的大男人居然是角色塑造上的（拖到最后變成了唯一的）優(yōu)點(diǎn)。重復(fù)推、拖感情線就是這種讓主角形象中最無(wú)趣的部分一遍又一遍，單一且刻板地增殖、膨脹，魅力盡失。想當(dāng)群像輕喜劇看的時(shí)候，兩個(gè)橡膠氣球般的人頭永遠(yuǎn)占據(jù)整個(gè)大屏幕，真是受盡了折磨。寫日本人那種優(yōu)越和凝視的得意口吻看得我腳趾抓地，就是不知日本人流不流行在美劇中找“辱日”那一套就是了……
